What is the MensaCard?
The MensaCard is a cash free means of payment in all institutes of the Studentenwerk. It consists a very quick contact free Mifare chip.
You can pay with it cash free in all mensa and cafeterias of the Studentenwerk.
What advantages do I have?
- The payment process at the cash desk is shortened. With the MensaCard is lasts ca. 2 sec., with cash ca. 30. sec.
- You wear less coins with you.
Who gets the MensaCard?
- students of the universities and colleges of higher education, which are administered by the Studentenwerk OstNiedersachsen
- employees of the Studentenwerk, of university and colleges of higher education,
- guests
Where do I get the MensaCard?
You can get it at all cash desks in the mensa.
What does the MensaCard cost?
The MensaCard is given out with a deposit of 5 €. You can let the card be uploaded at the cash desk or at the machines for cash and you start shopping right away.
How and where can the MensaCard be uploaded?
You can upload your MensaCard at all machines in all mensa of the Studentenwerk and at all cash desks in the mensa and cafeterias with cash. The minimum amount is 5 €. The maximum is limited to 60 €.
How do I pay with the MensaCard?
Lay the MensaCard with either side on the download machine at the desk, in less than 2 sec. is the amount beeing written off.
What happens in case of loss of the MensaCard?
A new MensaCard can be received to the same conditions as the first one.
What happens in case of return?
In case of return the deposit of 5 € will be given back. Requirement is that the card is undamaged.
In any case a maximum of 20 € can be payed.
Should I write my name in the MensaCard?
No, if you want to recognize your card in case of loss, you should write down the number on it. With this number, can the card be indentified if someone returns it to the desk. If you write something on your card you risk the deposit. The deposit is only refunded for undamaged cards.
